Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research is a medical university, which is established in Chennai. It is regarded as SRIHER. In 1985, Sri Ramachandra Educational and Health trust laid the foundation of the Institute. The medical university is authorized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and presently the institute is a worthy member of AIU i.e the Association of Indian Universities.
The university houses a renowned medical center, known as Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre. In 2018, the medical center was accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI). With a faculty of 850, the institute is serving medical education to the aspirants. The campus is spread over a large area of almost 150 acres, which is designed especially for the convenience of the students. The institute is well-equipped with amenities all around like a medical center, modern laboratories, medical libraries, air-conditioned classrooms. ATMs and much more.
