Overview
RG Kar Medical College has started its journey long years back when India was under British rule. Public health at that time was in an appalling state in Calcutta, that time RG Kar Medical College was established. Dr. Kar, the man behind the medical college, came back from the UK to India in 1886 and he didn’t want to work for the Britishers. Dr. Kar has seen the worsening conditions of people due to poor medical facilities in Calcutta. He made a team of young talented people, who came together and forced Dr. Kar to think about developing a medical college, and the man did it. Dr. Kar was known for being a lion-hearted personality, he has the power to change the dream into reality and he did it well. The nine personalities came in the Noble mission and established the medical college under Dr. Kar's guidance. Dr. Kar has proved, nothing is impossible if you have the determination to do it.
