Overview
The Pearl Academy was established in 1993 in Delhi by an education arm, Little People Education Society, of the House of Pearl Fashion. Formerly known as the Pearl Academy of Fashion, it started offering degrees that the United Kingdom’s Nottingham Trent University validated in 1995. However, in July 2012, the University Grants of India instructed the Pearl Academy to completely put a stop to awarding joint degrees validated by the UK’s Nottingham Trent University for getting various complaints against private institutions.
Because of the validation of programmes by foreign universities, the Pearl Academy has evolved into a globally renowned institution. The academy focuses on higher education employability, entrepreneurship and internationalism. Also, the academy caters to the requirement of Business, Design, Fashion, Media and Retail Industry. Since 2019, it has been owned by Global University Systems, a for-profit education group.
The Pearl Academy, Delhi, is ranked in the top 10 fashion colleges in many journals in India. Among the best fashion colleges in India, it was ranked 3rd by The Outlook, 7th by India Today and 8th by The Week. The academy in Delhi is known for providing students with international exposure via its student exchange programme.

Admission Process
For all the UG Programs that the Pearl Academy offers, the admission criteria involve Pearl Academy Entrance Test or NATA. The candidate for admission must have passed their 10+2 examination in any discipline to apply for the UG courses. For PG courses, candidates might need to have a CAT/MAT/GMAT result and be a graduate in any discipline.
Candidates applying for the PG courses can also have a graduate degree from any recognized university in any discipline, including Open Learning university. For the institute's professional certificate program, having 10+2 in any discipline is enough.
Placements
The Pearl Academy provides 100% Employment assistance and assurance, but they are subjected to a few conditions that are described as follows. After successfully completing any Pearl Academy Course (PAC), students will be able to have access to Career Services Placement Portal. On this portal, students will be able to apply for jobs and internships that are listed there.
Students who are eligible for any qualifying job will be able to get full-time, part-time, contractual, consultant jobs anywhere in India or outside the country. This is only applicable to those qualified for the job and who have completed paid internships. The qualifying period where a student will be able to get placement is 9 months after the completion date of PAC.

Result and Cut-off
To get admission into the Pearl Academy in the business programs, candidates will need to have at least 60 % or above in CAT or a minimum score of 450 and above in GMAT. For other Fashion and design courses, the candidate needs to have passed 10+2 in any discipline. Other than that, the candidate will need to have a combined score based on the Pearl Academy Entrance Exam and the personal interview round. For the MAFT courses, the candidates may need to go through a profile evaluation round and a personal interview.
