Overview

Established in the year 1961, the National Institute of Technology, Calicut on a wide scale is known as NITC. It is a pioneer institute for university education in India. Besides, the institute's Department of Architecture was also ranked 3rd among all Architectural colleges in 2020 by the NIRF. The only aim of the institute is to develop high-quality professionals in the field of architecture.

Admission Process

National Institute of Technology, Calicut offers an online admission mode for its students. Furthermore, every candidate applying for the programs must appear for the JEE Main exam and in JoSAA counseling. To apply online for the application process candidates must follow the given steps:

National Institute of Technology, Calicut is well known for its placement facilities. It has been providing jobs for many years and around 647 places have been offered to around 645 students. The placement cell has not only managed activities related to placements but has also been guiding students to choose the best career in their respective fields. The institute has collaborated and invited many other companies and firms on their campus to provide the best placement facilities for its students such as Amazon, Microsoft, Maruti, Tata Motors, Bajaj, Morgan Stanley, etc. Therefore, the highest package at NITC was INR 49.7 LPA and the average package offered was INR 11.58 LPA.  

Campus Facilities 

The campus facilities at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut are popular among everyone. It focuses on making life easy for the students throughout their academic year. The campus is equipped with a gymnasium, open air-theater, auditorium, volleyball court, tennis court, football, badminton, food court, basketball, roller skating, hockey, cricket ground, central computer center, central library, technology business incubator to the hostel for both boys and girls, everything provided in the institute is for well being and betterment of its students. 

Besides, the college organizes annual festivals which are managed and conducted by the students themselves. The institute also organizes programs such as seminars, guest lectures, etc for introducing students to new technologies and ideas.
