Fees

The tuition fees for the different degree programs offered by the Faculty of Management & Commerce, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, are as follows:

  • B.Com. (Honors): INR 5.25 Lakh (INR 1.75 Lakh in the first year).

This amount does not include food, shopping, or academic infrastructure costs. The semester fee must be paid at the beginning of each academic session; a delay of more than 30 days will lead to cancellation of hostel allocation.

Admissions

The eligibility criteria for different degree programs offered by the Faculty of Management & Commerce, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bengaluru, are as follows:

  • MBA: Applicants must have an aggregate of 50% or above, from an undergraduate degree program of at least three years’ duration, from a recognized University anywhere in the world. The aggregate requirement is relaxed for SC/ST students. Up to 15% of seats can be reserved for foreign students, who must submit a TOEFL score of at least 8.0.
  • B.Com. (Honors): Applicants must have passed a Standard XII examination from any recognized Board of Higher Secondary Education in India or abroad. There is no minimum percentage requirement. However, either Accountancy or Mathematics must be one of the subjects at 10+2 level.
  • BBA: Applicants must have passed a 10+2 Higher Secondary examination from any recognized Institution anywhere in the world.
  • M.Com.: Applicants must have an aggregate of 50% or above, from an undergraduate degree program of at least three years’ duration, from a recognized University anywhere in the world. The aggregate requirement is relaxed for SC/ST students. There is no requirement that the student must have studied Commerce during his/her UG studies; arts, science, and engineering graduates are also welcome to apply.

The application procedures for different degree programs are as follows:

  • MBA: Eligible candidates must attempt the Karnataka PGCET entrance examination. After receiving a valid rank in this entrance test, they must fill the Ramaiah University MBA application form (in online or offline mode). After payment of the first year’s tuition fee and submission of original documents for verification, the admission process is completed and they can start attending classes.
  • B.Com. (Honors): First, eligible candidates must fill the online application form and submit all the required documents (primarily academic transcripts and certificates). After paying the registration fee and presenting their original documents for verification, they can pay the tuition fee and confirm their admission.
  • BBA and M.Com.: The steps are similar to those for B.Com. aspirants; however, Mathematics or Accountancy is not a required subject.

Scholarships

1. Merit Scholarship for B.Com. and BBA students: This is awarded by the University, and has two tiers. Preparation & FAQs

The main component of success in the Ramaiah admission process is the Karnataka PGCET entrance test. Applicants should devote 2-3 months after the completion of their undergraduate degree to prepare for the four sections of the PGCET entrance test, with special attention to Verbal, Quantitative, and Logical Reasoning. At least 5 mock tests and sample papers should be attempted, with additional preparation devoted to working out practice questions from CAT or XAT test papers, especially in topics in which the student has scored relatively low marks in the mock test series.
