What’s different at the Institute of Medical Science? IMS-BHU is among the top six institutes of Banaras Hindu University. The college was incorporated in 1960. The motive of the college is to render quality medical education in the field of Medicine, Ayurveda and Dental Sciences. The college has 33 departments of Modern Medicine, which includes 4 dentistry departments, 10 super-specialties departments, a school of nursing, and eleven Ayurveda departments. The college admission for the new session is open.
The institution provides paramedical and medical courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Medical Council of India has approved the Institute of Medical Sciences.

Admission Process
The candidates who want to opt for medical education, have to give an entrance test. The Admissions are based on the NEET entrance and college’s online entrance test. The interested candidates can check out the below highlights of the Institute of Medical Sciences admissions.
For taking admissions in IMS-BHU Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, the Applicants have to clear their 12th with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, and that too from a recognized board.
The candidates must qualify NEET UG exam for getting admission to BDS, MBBS, Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery course.
The Medical Counseling Committee ( MCC) is the official authority to conduct counseling for MBBS/BDS courses.
For admission to the BDS and MBBS course, the candidate’s minimum age must be 17 years on 31 December of the year of admission. And, the upper age limit for the candidate must be 25 years ( for all categories).
The foreign candidates have been given relaxation, they need not have to appear for the MBBS entrance exam. They can directly apply for the MBBS course via Delhi/Indian government policies
For getting admissions in MD, MDS, MD Ayurveda, and MS Ayurveda, the candidates have to get merit scores in the NEET PG exam.
Candidates seeking admissions in the MDS program have to clear the BDS course recognized by the DCI ( Dental Council of India) and have done a one-year compulsory internship training.

For UG courses, The application fee is Rs 1400 for the General Category students and OBC students. And Rs 750 is for ST/SC candidates.
For PG courses, The application fee is Rs 3750 for General and OBC students and Rs 2750 is for the ST/SC students.
