Overview

Among the newly started IIMs, the name IIM Sirmaur assumes great significance. IIM Sirmaur builds upon the legacy of the tried and tested curriculum developed over the last many decades at other IIMs. This institute is under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow.

The institute has expertise in the application-oriented Problem Based Learning (PBL) pedagogy designed and delivered by the country’s sharpest minds. From the 2020-21 Academic Year, the curriculum of the institute will support blended courses incorporating the best MOOCs available in the various subject areas.

IIM Sirmaur is working towards integrating management studies with technology, liberal arts, and other allied areas in the social sciences. The batch of 2020-21 will have the opportunity to choose from brand new courses, workshops and activities that increase their exposure to the data sciences and train them in highly important but often neglected soft skills. Analytics, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence will have a special focus in the coming years in addition to skill-building courses in the areas of leadership, communication and culture.

Academic Excellence

The Institute offers Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration in general management of two years duration. The course is the flagship offering of the IIMs and the pedagogy followed by the Institute offers the same rigor as the other members of the IIM family.
