Overview

Aligarh Muslim University is popularly called AMU. In 1875, Mohammedan Anglo-Oriented College (MAO) college was established, but in 1920, the Aligarh Muslim University was incepted. It is known for being the famous public university located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the great social reformer, laid down the foundation of AMU. The university was open with the motive to provide medical education to all the candidates irrespective of their region, religion, caste, creed, and gender. AMU has more than 13 faculties, and there are different faculties for different departments.

The university offers more than 300 courses to the students at different levels - whether it is Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral, l or Diploma levels in varied fields like Sciences, Humanities, Medicine, Social Science, Engineering and Management etc. 

The University is spread over more than 1,155 acres of land. The majority of the staff and students live inside the campus. As per the investigation, there are 2 centers of the university in Kerala, Mallapuram, West Bengal, and Murshidabad. Here the students will get the teaching facilities for the two different courses i.e MBA and integrated law.

Courses

Aligarh Muslim University courses are offered by different departments, under the guidance of professional experts. The total faculties in the institute are 13, which includes Commerce, Agriculture Science, International Studies, Law, Engineering, Medicine, Theology, Management Studies and Research, and Unani Medicine.

AMU has done a commendable job, by creating a training and placement cell for students. The job of the cell is to assist students in getting well-reputed jobs in their selected fields of study. AMU students are getting jobs in varied sectors like IT, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Banking & Finance, Engineering, Law, etc. The university is great at organizing seminars, training, and workshops for those students who want to have real insights on different aspects of job interviews, industry overview, and the challenges of the market.

As per the reports, AMU offers placements in the top companies like IBM, ICICI Bank, Adobe, ONGC, and HCL. According to the IIRF expert review, the minimum package is 4.5 LPA and the maximum package is 6.5 LPA.
