The issue of Date Clash of JEE (Main) May 2021 with Class 12 Board Examination had given sleepless nights to many students. But with the announcement about flexibility to select the dates for exams, students are now relieved. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said that students can select the date on which they can appear for the exam, ensuring that it does not clash with their class 12th board exam.

Earlier, when the dates of JEE Main fourth rounds were announced, many state boards had expressed concern about the clash of dates. Several boards, including the CBSE, hold exams for class 12th students in May. Round four of JEE Main will be conducted between 24th and 28th May, as per the announcement by the NTA.

Students can now select one date for taking the exam. They will be able to register their roll number and specify the board for which they are appearing with the NTA, between 3rd to 12th May 2021. During this time, the application form for JEE Main, the fourth session, will be opened by the NTA, allowing students to choose the date and provide the details required. The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) which is the main entrance exam for engineering aspirants all across India, is being held in four phases.

Round one was conducted in February, while the second round is scheduled for March, 15th to 18th. In April, the third round will be held from 27th to 30th April. The application for JEE Main was closed on 10th March. Students are allowed to make corrections in their forms, in case they have made any erroneous entries. They can make the changes and rectify selective information online on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. By selecting a date for the JEE Main session 4, students will be able to appear for the exam without missing their board papers. They will have to notify to NTA about the dates of the board exams as well so that the matter of date clash can be verified.
