Overview

The Swami Vivekanand University is a private university, which is situated in the city of Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, and was established in 2012 and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university is managed by Prakhar Pragya Shiksha Prasar Avam Samaj Kalayn Samiti.

The university offers a number of courses in diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in several specializations, such as engineering, law, education, pharmacy, commerce, arts, science, and many more. The focus of the university is to provide a skill oriented education to the students so that they do not need to suffer in their professional career due to a lack of the skills required to survive in the corporate and industrial world.

• The Faculty of Engineering offers courses like B.E./B.Tech and M.Tech in various specializations such as mechanical, civil, electrical & electronics, electronics & communication, agriculture, information technology, aeronautical, fire safety, mining, food technology, aeronautical, and many more.
• The Faculty of Pharmacy at the university offers courses like  D.Pharma, B.Pharma, and M.Pharma in various specializations.
• The Faculty of Education offers courses like B.Ed., B.P.Ed., Diploma in Education, and M.A. Education & M.A. Physical Education.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given process to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university.
• Firstly, the students are required to fill in the registration form with the required details like phone number and email ID.
• Completing the given process will lead the students toward the application form.
• The candidates have to fill in the application form with the required personal details and academic records like marksheets and certificates of previous academic records.
• The university will verify the eligibility of the students regarding the selected course, if the student fulfills the eligibility criteria, they will be called for the counseling process.
• The university will then declare a merit list of the selected candidates. The students are required to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.

Results and Cut off

The university offers admissions to students on the basis of their previous academic records and a valid score card in the government level entrance exam for the specific subjects. For an undergraduate program,students need to have passed the 10+2 Level of examinations from a recognized board of education. Different courses require different cutoff marks. For example, if a student wants to take admission in B.ED, he/she must have at least 50%marks, and for BE/B.Tech one requires at least 45% marks. A relaxation of 5% is given to category students. For a master's program, students need to have a bachelor’s degree in similar specializations from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.

Placement

The university offers campus placements for students in their final year. The university organizes several programs to enhance the social personality development of students. These programs include quizzes, seminars, and cultural events, sports, and fetes on their own, which help them in their personality growth and indirectly help them prepare for the interviews and aptitude tests in the campus placement drives. The university has special tie ups with HCL, Wipro, IBM, etc. All these things help students to get placed during their academic session and build a career in their specialized fields.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, and has a huge area of 65 acres with a lot of greenery and trees. The infrastructure at the university includes huge buildings and open grounds for sports that create a perfect ambiance for the students to complete their academic sessions.

The library at the university has a lot of books, including academic books, journals, and magazines. The library has a digital section where the books are available in digital format. Which helps the students to keep in touch with the modern technology and style of education.

The university offers separate hostels for boys and girls that have clean rooms, light, wi-fi, and security. The mess is attached to the hostel and offers tasty and nutritious food. The food is monitored by the hostel warden to prevent students from getting ill during their academic session.
