Overview

The Swami Vivekananda Subharti University is a private university which is situated in the Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh and was established in 2008 and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has a huge academic structure that offers diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in over 220 specializations such as medicine, paramedical, dental, pharmacy, nursing, engineering, science, arts, mass communication, education, law, management, commerce, and many more.

The university has several collaborations with international universities like Synergy University, Moscow, Russia; Shu-Te University, Taiwan; Lumbini Buddhist University, Lumbini- Nepal, Lincoln University College-Malaysia; and many more that offer faculty, students, knowledge, and resources exchange programs. The university organizes a number of seminars, workshops, live training programs, webinars, and guest lectures from industrial experts, which help students learn practical knowledge from intellectuals and industrial skills from the experts.

The university has more than 900 faculty members, who have an exceptional set of knowledge and a lot of experience that helps students to complete their academic sessions with a lot of knowledge. The university has more than 125,000 alumni who are doing great in their lives, and the students have received 404 academic awards from the officials and the government for their extraordinary academic track records. The campus has a huge area of over 250 acres with all the facilities that are needed for the smooth functioning of an educational firm. 

Course Highlights

The university offers over 220 courses in various faculties in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The Faculty of Medicine offers courses like diploma, B.Sc, MBBS, MD, MS, M.Sc, and Ph.D in various specializations such as Anatomy, Anesthesiology & Critical Care, Biochemistry, Central Research Station, Community Medicine, Dermatology, STD & Leprosy, Forensic Medicine, Paramedical Sciences, General Surgery, Medicine, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and many more.
• The Faculty of Physiotherapy and Allied Health Science offers courses like BPT, MPT, and Ph.D in various specializations such as Neurology, Cardiopulmonary Conditions, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, and many more.
• The Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, and Ph.D in various specializations such as Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and many more.
• The Faculty of Management and Commerce offers courses like BBA, B.Com, M.Com, MBA, and Ph.D in various specializations such as Finance, Marketing, Finance, Fashion Design, Banking, IT, International Business, Hotel and Tourism, Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Real Estate Valuation, and many more.
• The Faculty of Science offers courses like B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D in various specializations such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Animal Husbandry, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates can apply for admission in both online and offline mode. The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the university.
• The candidates can get an application form directly from the university by paying Rs. 1500 at the counter.
• The candidates have to visit the official website of the university and click on the admission section to apply online.
• The candidates have to fill in an online application form with the required details and upload the necessary documents like marksheets and certificates of previous academic record.
• The students are required to pay an application fee in the online mode to submit the application form.
• The candidates have to appear in the entrance examinations if their desired subject is required.
• The university declares a merit list of the selected students who have to pay the admission fee at a given time to confirm their seats at the university.

Results and Cut off

The university offers admissions to students on the basis of their previous academic records and their rankings in the entrance examinations organized by the university and other government agencies. 

The university conducts an entrance test known as the Subharti National Eligibility Test (SNET), which is considered for the courses at the campus along with the other entrance exams organized by government agencies like NEET, which is preferred for admissions in medical courses. 

The students are required to have passed 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education in India or abroad with at least 45% marks to get admission to an undergraduate program. For a master’s degree, students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar subject from a recognized university with at least 50% marks, and in some courses like nursing and pharmacy, it is at least 55% marks. 

For admission to a Ph.D or M.Phil program, students need to have a postgraduate degree in a similar subject from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 55% marks. The students also have to take the entrance examination organized by the university and have to get the cutoff marks. 

Placement

The training and placement cell at the university offers a lot of opportunities for students to get placed in some national and multinational companies during their final year of academic session. The training department organizes several activities, like personality development classes, mock interviews, and aptitude tests, for the all round developments of the students, which will help them to perform well in the campus placement drives. The major recruiters of the university are HCL, Axis Bank, Just Dial, Infosys, and many more.

The university's alumni are working in various sectors of employment in government and private organizations. Some of the notable alumni of the university are mentioned below.

• Pooja Pal was a student at the university and working as a Politician and has been an MLA for the Samajwadi Party.
• Vishakha Rathi is working as a Senior Physical Therapist at Fortis Hospital.
• Vibhor Premi is working as a Senior Executive at NielsenIQ.
• Lalit Kumar is working as a Maintenance Engineer at OCS Group in the UK.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and spread over a huge area of 250 acres on the Delhi-Haridwar highway. The campus has a lot of greenery, trees, and an open area that offers an environment that is suitable for the students to complete their academic sessions. The campus has all the facilities like sports grounds, hospital, library, laboratories, hostels, auditorium, mess, canteen, bank, ATM, transportation, gym, and many more.

The university offers sports facilities to the students that help them to stay physically fit and active. There are several sports grounds like basketball courts,  cricket grounds, football grounds, tennis courts, hockey fields, handball fields, baseball courts, volleyball courts, Kabaddi courts, Kho-kho Court, table tennis room, and many more. The gym at the university is used by the students to do intense workouts and build stamina and physical strength.

The campus has a total of 14 hostels for the students and is divided on the basis of girls, boys, and academic programs. The mess is attached to the hostel that offers vegetarian food to the students and staff. There are special arrangements for the staff accommodation along with the students.

The library at the university is huge as it contains more than 150,000 books along with 834 national and international journals used by the students to gain knowledge in theoretical format. The campus has labs for each academic specialization and is filled with all the necessary equipment required for the practical's.

The auditorium at the university is big as it has a seating capacity of 2500 students at a time. It is used for hosting various cultural programs, technical events, annual parties, and other programs. The campus has a hospital which is used by the medical students to do their practice at the university and is also helpful in case of an emergency at the campus.
