Overview

Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University is a private state university which is situated in the Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2012 and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has more than 100 education programs, including diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in several specializations, such as engineering,  management, commerce, design, law, agriculture, pharmacy, education, science, humanities, media, mass communication, and many more.

The university has a number of collaborations with national and international organizations in educational fields that help students with a lot of skills, knowledge, and faculty exchange programs. The university has industrial collaborations with some of the international organizations like IBM, ISRO, JBM Group, KPMG, and many more, that help the university in organizing various seminars, workshops, live training programs, and guest lectures from industrial experts. The students have an opportunity to explore themselves in a global environment due to the large number of foreign students at the campus. 

The faculty members at the university have an exceptional set of skills and knowledge in their recognized subjects and have a lot of experience in teaching that assists students during their academic session. The university also offers scholarships to students on the basis of their previous academic records and to students from the weaker financial section of society. The students get world class facilities at the university campus and get a lot of opportunities to get placed in some big multinational companies. Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University is ranked 120th in all India and the 16th state university of Uttar Pradesh by the IIRF University Rankings 2023, among the top universities in India.

Course Highlights

The university offers various courses in different institutes in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The Institute of Natural Science and Humanities offers courses like B.Sc, BA, BSW, M.Sc, MA, and MSW in various specializations such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, political science, psychology, sociology, public health, English, and many more.
• The Faculty of Technology offers courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D in specializations such as computer science engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and many more.
• The Institute of Management, Commerce, and Economics offers courses like BBA, BA, B.Com, MBA, and Ph.d in various specializations such as hospital management, banking, finance, human resources, accounting, marketing, and many more.
• The Institute of Media Studies offers courses like BA, MA, and Ph.D in various specializations of journalism and mass communication.
• The Institute of Pharmacy offers courses like D.Pharma and B.Pharma in various specializations such as pharmacology, medical chemistry, pharmaceutical formation, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and many more.
• The Institute of Architecture and Planning offers courses like diploma and B.Des in various specializations such as user design, interior design, and many more.
• The Institute of Bio-Sciences and Technology offers courses like B.Sc, B.Tech, M.Sc, M.Tech, and Ph.D in various specializations such as biotechnology, food technology, microbiology, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given process to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university to apply in online mode.
• The candidates have to register themselves first with their mobile numbers and email IDs.
• The candidates have to verify themselves by clicking on the verification link that is generated by the university.
• After registering, the candidates have to log in again on the admission portal and fill in the application  form with the required details and upload the necessary documents like marksheets and certificates of previous academic records along with other required documents.
• The students have to pay an application fee to submit the application form.
• The candidates have to appear in the entrance examination organized by the university and other national level agencies.
• The university calls the students for counseling where they have to go through group discussion and personal interviews along with the document verification.
• The university declares a merit list of the selected candidates who have to pay an admission fee to confirm their seats.

Results and Cut off

The students are given admission on the basis of their previous academic records and the rankings in entrance examinations like JEE Mains, GATE, CAT, MAT, CLAT, and many more.

The entrance examinations like JEE Mains and GATE are considered for admissions in the engineering courses. The valid ranking in the CLAT examination is considered for admission in legal studies. The management courses are admitted on the basis of the cutoff marks in CAT, MAT, CMAT, and other entrance examinations.

The students have to pass the 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education with at least 45% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserve category students. For admission to a master’s degree program, students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 50% marks. The students need to have a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 55% marks. 

Placement

The training and placement cell at the university offers campus placement drives for students in their final years. The university has called a total of 243 students in 2022 for the campus placement drives. More than 400 students from the current academic year have received placement opportunities from various companies. Over 10 students got more than one offer from various recruiters. The training and placement cell prepares the students for industry by providing them all round development opportunities through personality development classes. The major recruiters of the university are Coforge, Gyan Diary, UpGrade, Wipro, and many more.

The alumni of the university are working in various sectors of employment in government and private sectors. Some of the notable alumni of the university are mentioned below.

• Ajay Sinha is currently working as a Producer for Prime TV.
• Anjali Srivastava is currently working as a Director of IT at Axis Bank.
• Bal Krishna Shukla is working as Regional Head of West India at Yash Pakka LTD.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh and has a huge area that offers various facilities like hostels, library, labs, playground, auditorium, presentation hall, cafeteria, mess, gym, medical, transportation, computer center, many clubs, and many more.

The library at the university is fully air conditioned and offers a perfect place for students to study. The library contains a lot of academic books, research papers, journals, and other books. The students can borrow the books from the library for their academic period. The labs at the university have all the necessary equipment and resources that are required to complete the practical's.

The university has various clubs like fashion club, photography club, dramatic club, music club, sports club, and many more for the students to perform extracurricular activities that will help them to generate another dynamic in their lives. The university also offers transportation services for the students and staff that cover almost all the corners of the city.

The hostels at the university are divided into various blocks for boys and girls. The rooms at the hostel are cleaned on a daily basis, and the mess is attached to the hostel that offers healthy and tasty food for the students. The university has playgrounds that host various sports events, offering physical activities for the students.
