Overview

The Raffles University is a private state university that is situated in Neemrana, Rajasthan. It was established in 2011 by the Gomber Education Foundation and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers a number of diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various specializations, such as engineering, basic science, applied science, humanities, legal studies, management, commerce, pharmacy, computer science, internet of things, and many more.

The university offers scholarship schemes and education loans for students who have better academic records and those coming from weaker financial sections. The university has collaborations with some of the international educational organizations like Lisbon University, Portugal, and the University of New Hampshire that offer the exchange of students, faculty, knowledge, and resources that provide global exposure to the students. The faculty members at the university have a lot of experience in teaching and imparting a unique set of knowledge to the students, which will help them pass the academic session and later in their professional career.

The university organizes various seminars, webinars, live training programs, workshops, and guest lectures from industrial experts, which help the students understand the practicality of subjects and learn a lot of industrial skills, which help them in the campus placement drives. The university offers internship opportunities to students during their academic sessions, which makes them ready to start working just after their academic session. The campus of the university is spread over an area of 50 acres and has all the facilities that are needed for the smooth functioning of an educational firm. Raffles University is ranked 92nd in all India and the 15th state university of Rajasthan by the IIRF University Rankings 2023, among the top universities in India.

The university offers a number of courses under various schools in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The School of Engineering and Technology offers courses like Diploma, B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D in various specializations such as cyber security, internet of things, civil engineering, agriculture engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science engineering, and many more.
• The School of Pharmacy offers courses like D.Pharma and B.Pharma in various specializations such as forensic pharmacy, nuclear pharmacy, poison control pharmacy, and many more.
• The School of Management offers courses like B.Com, BBA, M.Com, MBA, and Ph.D in various specializations such as finance, accounting, marketing, digital marketing, hospitality management, international business, logistics management, and many more.
• The School of Basic and Applied Science offers courses like Diploma, B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D in various specializations such as physics, chemistry, mathematics, biochemistry, microbiology, botany, zoology, statics, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university and they have to click on the "apply now" tab.
• The candidates have to register themselves with email IDs, which will be further used for login purposes.
• The candidates need to login to the application form and fill in the application form with the required personal details and have to upload the necessary documents like marksheets and certificates of their previous academic records to prove their eligibility along with their photographs and signatures.
• The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 1000 to submit the application form.
• The candidates have to appear in the entrance examination organized by the university and have to get a cutoff mark to be called for counseling.
• The counseling will include the group discussion and personal interviews along with the document verification.
• The university declares a merit list of the selected students, who are required to pay an admission fee to get provisional admission to the university.

Results and Cut off

The students are given admission to the university on the basis of their previous academic records and the entrance test conducted by the university and other national level entrance tests like CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. 

The university conducts an entrance test for all the courses except MBA. The written test has a 40% weightage and the counseling has a weightage of 60%, which will include the personal interview. For admission to an MBA program, the candidates have to score the cutoff marks in any of the entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, etc.

The eligibility of the students is necessary for each course. The students need to pass the 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education with at least 45% marks for admission to an undergraduate program. One has to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad to be eligible for a master's degree. The university follows the similar norms of UGC for admission to a doctoral degree as one has to pass a postgraduate course in a similar specialization from a recognized university with at least 55% marks and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to reserve category students.

Placement

The university has an Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) that helps students at the campus get internships and placement opportunities at the campus placement drives. The university equips students with an internship during their academic session where they get an opportunity to gain industrial experience, which will help them in starting their professional careers. The university has collaborations with a number of industries that help the students get industry ready during their academic session. The major recruiters of the university are HomeShop 18, Genpact, Hero, Eagle Hills, Hindustan Petroleum, IndianOil, Havels, and many more.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in Neemrana, Rajasthan , which is just 80 km away from the Delhi international airport that offers quick mobility to every corner of the world. The campus has an area of 50 acres, which is filled with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment that is suitable for educational purposes. The campus has all the facilities like library, hostels, gym, sports grounds, auditorium, seminar hall, mess, cafeteria, transportation, medical, wi-fi campus, and many more.

The library at the campus has a total of 13558 academic books and 96 journals. The students have access to all the books, and they can borrow the books for 14 days, which they can further renew for another 14 days. The library has a digital section where the books are available in digital formats.

The playgrounds at the campus offer various sports like cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and many other sports, which promote awareness about the physical fitness of the students. The university offers a gym facility for students that will help them perform intense workouts. 

The university has the laboratories for each subject and has all the necessary equipment and resources to complete the practical's. The students learn various skills at the labs. The university has hostels for the students, which are divided on the basis of boys and girls. The mess is attached to the hostel that offers tasty and healthy food to the students and staff.
