Overview

The Manav Rachna University, also popular as MRU was established in the year 2004. It is a private university in Haryana that aims in delivering a better future to the nation. Established by the Haryana State Legislative Act 2004, the university is eligible to deliver globally relevant education. 

Since its establishment, the university has managed to attain a respectable position in the educational society. It has received many awards for the excellence it has delivered over years. Some of the awards received by the university include Rank 44 given by the Outlook in 2021 overall and Rank 20 awarded by the Week in 2021 for its B.Tech courses. Besides, the university is accredited by NAAC with Grade A and is recognized by UGC, BCI, NCTE, and AICTE. 

The well-trained and experienced industry professionals are welcomed as faculty members in the university. This action of recruitment of teachers by the university provides a multi-layered benefit. Course Highlights 

The university is known to offer more than 50 courses to its students. The courses are offered at various levels, UG, PG, Ph.D, and Diploma. All the courses are delivered in such a way that the graduates of each course are experts in their fields. Some of the most prominent facilities provided by the university that attract admission applications from around the world are mentioned below.

• Fully-functional course-specific labs are provided to the students for the practical learning of their subjects.

Admission Process 

For admission to any of the courses offered by MRU, students from around the world wait every year. The process of admission is all conducted online. It starts with filling out the online application form available on their college website. Following this, the application fees have to be paid. Then the student needs to appear for the course-specific entrance exam. 

For most UG courses MRNAT is conducted while for most PG courses CUET-PG is considered valid. Upon qualifying for these exams, and depending on the marks obtained, seats in courses are allotted to the students. Then the admission fees need to be paid, upon which the admission is confirmed. 

Results and Cut off 

The admission process to any of the courses offered by Manav Rachna University is only possible once the eligibility criteria are fulfilled. For any course offered by the university, a minimum qualification of 10+2 is required. The candidate should complete the higher secondary education from a recognized board. Besides, for application, a minimum of 50% and a maximum of 65% marks are needed by the students. The percentage qualification is course-specific. But the safe limit is any percentage above 65%. 

Placement

Placement statistics of MRU are rated 5 by the QS Stars rating system. This is possibly achieved due to the consistent efforts made by the placement department of the university. The university placement cell contacts the top recruiters of the market every year and invites them to the campus recruitment drive. Besides, they maintain a healthy relationship with the recruiters to keep them connected with the university and provide placement and internship opportunities to the students. 

To prepare the students for the placement season, the department puts on some extra effort. They conduct placement talks, professional sessions, soft skill development sessions, and mock interviews. This helps to make students aware of the industry-specific needs and makes them ready for the recruitment drive. Hence, most of the students of the university get placed within the campus drive only. Some of the major recruiters of the university are Daffodil Software, Koyo Electronics, Crowe Horwath IT services LLP, Newgen Software, NIIT technologies, Capgemini, Maven Wave, Lido Learning, Amazon, hp, Accenture, Samsung, Mobikwik, Linked in, HCL, Federal Bank, TCS, and many more.

Over 2800+ alumni of the university are at present spread over the globe. Each one is holding respectable positions in their field of work. The students of the university are called the Manav Rachnits who are the flagbearers of excellence and the ambassadors of the university culture wherever they go. Hence, the university is proud of its alumni and tries to keep them in contact with the university as well as the studying students.

Campus Facilities

The campus of MRU is spread across an area of 60 acres within the lush green environment of Faridabad. The campus is situated close to the city, allowing students to take proper advantage of college life and city life. The whole campus of the university is installed with a 24/7 security system and is fully Wi-Fi enabled. Besides, all the basic facilities needed by any student are provided within the campus. This helps students to feel homely and study effectively. 

Apart from these, the students are provided with hostel facilities within the campus. All the hostels have both AC and Non-AC rooms with great infrastructure. Each hostel has a common room installed with a TV, computer system, 24 hours power backup, and many more. Besides, a healthy food serving mess is also present within each hostel. Not only this, but the university also takes care of the physical health of the students. A fully-functional sporting complex is provided to the students along with a gymnasium. All of these bring holistic development to the student and make them feel happy and healthy.
