Overview

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), assumes great significance for its contribution to spreading higher education in the state of Tamil Nadu. The university which enjoys the status of Deemed University is located in Krishnankoil near Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The campus is close to the ancient temple town of Srivilliputhur. The tower of the Srivilliputhur temple is also used in the emblem of the Government of Tamil Nadu. KARE offers UG programmes, PG programmes and Ph.D. programmes. It is the first Institution in India to introduce a special B.Tech programme in engineering for the differently able (speech and hearing impaired) students.

Research and Development

The university offers multiple disciplines for pursuing research work.  The subjects available for Pre-Doctoral and Post –Doctoral Programmes include: Physics, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Biotechnology, Architecture, Automobile Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Applications, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
