Overview
The Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology is a private university in Madhya Pradesh, which is situated in Guna. It was established in the year 2010 by the state government of Madhya Pradesh and later recognized by the University Grant Commission in 2016. Initially, the foundation of the institution was laid by the then Chief Minister of M.P, Digvijay Singh, in 2002, and education at the institute was started in 2003.
The university offers various programs leading to graduation, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in various departments. The university has three faculties named as the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Mathematical Sciences, and Faculty of Science, which offer specializations in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, and many more.
The university offers professional engineering courses, the outcome of which can be calculated by the placement of the students. In the current academic session, nine students got a placement of Rs. 44 lakhs per annum, which is commendable for any university looking at the current condition of employment. The university believes in training students with practical knowledge along with theoretical expertise.
The faculty members at the university are experienced and well known to have a great deal of knowledge of their subjects. The labs at the university are equipped with modern tools and technology that help students acquire practical knowledge of their subjects. Admission Process
The candidates need to follow the given process to get admission to the university.
- The candidate can fill in an online or offline application form to start the process of admission.
- The candidates need to visit the official website of the university to get an application form, they simply need to choose the course they want to get enrolled in and fill in the application form for that specific course.
- The students are required to fill in the application form with the necessary personal details and previous academic records for the purpose of eligibility.
- The students have to pay an application fee to submit the application form.
- The university will declare a list of selected candidates on the basis of previous academic records and the scores obtained in the entrance exams organized by the government like JEE and others.
- The selected candidates need to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats.
Results and Cut off
The university has a total of 600 seats in the undergraduate program of engineering, in which 50% of the seats are reserved for students having a cutoff mark in JEE mains, which changes every year. The remaining 50% of seats are reserved and given admission on the basis of previous academic records, which is the percentage in 10+2. For a non-JEE candidate, he/she must have scored at least 60% marks in the 10+2 or equivalent level of examination from a recognized education board in India, and a relaxation of 5% is given to the reserve category students. For a masters in engineering, the candidates should have a graduation in a similar specialization and have passed the GATE examination or appear in the entrance test organized by the university and score the cutoff mark.
Placement
The university offers a number of campus placement drives for students in their final year. The students from every specialization participate in the campus placement drives and get a huge number of offers from renowned companies like Google, Amazon, Infinix, and many more. In 2022, a total of six students got an offer of Rs 44 lakhs per annum from Amazon. The training and placement cell at the university is too good and organizes placement drives along with training the students for an all-round personality development.

Campus Facilities
The campus of the university is located in Madhya Pradesh and has all the facilities that are needed to run an engineering university, like hostels, laboratories, library, mess, canteen, sports, swimming pool, bank, ATM, security, transportation, and many more.
The hostels at the university are separate for boys and girls. The rooms are clean, with wi-fi service, light, fans, and security. There is a mess at the university named Annapurna that provides the students with good, nutritious food. The library at the university is equipped with a lot of academic books, along with journals and other best sellers.
The campus has a gym where the students can do intense workouts and maintain a good physique. The sports grounds at the university host several sports tournaments for the students to keep them physically and mentally fit.
The university also offers banking and ATM services at the campus for the students and staff, so the students do not have to run for banking services. The transport facility could also be used by the students and staff for quick mobility on campus.
The laboratories are equipped with the latest equipment that helps students acquire practical knowledge of the theoretical subjects in engineering.
