Indus International University is a private state university that is situated in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh. It was established in 2010 by the Kartha Education Society and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers a number of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various specializations, such as engineering, computer applications, science, arts, management, commerce, pharmacy, hospitality and tourism management, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates have to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university and either download the application form or they can directly get the admission form from the registrar office of the university.
• The candidates have to fill in the application form with the required personal details and attach documents like transcripts of previous academic records to prove their eligibility along with photographs and other required documents.
• The candidates have to pay an application fee along with the application form. Without that, the form will be considered incomplete.
• The candidates have to appear in the entrance examinations that are required for the desired courses.
• The students are called for counseling where they may have to go through group discussions and personal interviews along with document verification to prove the authenticity of their eligibility.
• The university gives admission to students on the basis of their overall merit.
• The selected students need to pay an admission fee at a given time to confirm their seats at the university.

Results and Cut off

The students are given admission on the basis of their previous academic records as well as the marks obtained in the entrance examinations conducted by the university or other entrance examinations like JEE Mains, HPTU, GATE, UGC NET/JRF, and others.

The university prefers a valid scorecard in the JEE Mains, HPTU, and GATE entrance examinations for admission to the engineering courses. For other traditional and business management courses, the university offers admission on a merit basis. Admission to the Ph.D programs is given on passing the UGC NET entrance examination. 

The eligibility criteria are a necessary condition for getting admission to the university. Students have to pass the 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education with at least 50% marks to get admission to an undergraduate program. The students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad to get admission to the master’s degree. For admission to the doctoral programs, students need to have a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university with at least 55% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to the reserve category students.

Placement

The university has a training and placement cell that offers assistance to the students and prepares them to face the campus placement drives. The training and placement cell organizes various written examinations, pre placement presentations, group discussions, and aptitude tests for the students, which help them to perform well in the campus placement drives. The university has more than 150 recruiters who visit the campus regularly for its campus placement drives for students. The major recruiters of the university are Indus Insights, US Technologies, Ocean Oil, Adani Group, Tata Motors, Indo Farm Equipment Ltd., Yuvraj, SML ISUZU LTD., Micro Turners, and many more.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in the Una district of Himachal Pradesh and spread over an area of 13 acres, which is filled with a lot of trees and green areas, offering a suitable environment for the students to complete their academic sessions. The campus has all the facilities like a library, an auditorium, outdoor playgrounds, classrooms, a mini hotel, a cafeteria, transportation, wi-fi campus, medical facility, labs, and many more.

The library at the campus is spread over an area of 18000 square feet and has over 15,000 academic books that offer theoretical assistance to the students throughout their academic sessions. The library has a seating capacity of 250 students at a time where the students can study in a peaceful environment. The digital section of the library has many video lectures and books in digital format.

The auditorium at the campus hosts various seminars, conferences, cultural programs, technical events, and annual functions. The students enjoy spending time in the auditorium hall performing various extracurricular activities like singing, dancing, and other performing arts. The cafeteria at the campus offers snacks and food for the students and staff.
