IMS Unison University is a private university which is situated in the city of Dehradun, Uttarakhand and was established in 2013 by the Unison Group and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in several specializations such as management, legal studies, commerce, hospitality management, media and communication design, sociology, liberal arts, and many more. The university offers admissions to international students and has a 10% reservation for their admission. The university has a global ambiance that makes the students complete their academic sessions by sharing their cultural values. • The School of Management offers courses like BBA, B.Com, Integrated MBA, MBA, and Ph.D in various specializations such as finance, accounting, marketing, human resources, strategy management, international business, communication, and many more.
• The School of Law offers courses like Integrated BA+LLB, Integrated BBA+LLB, LLM, and Ph.D in various specializations such as criminal law, Islamic law, corporate and commercial law, family and social security law, constitutional and administrative law, and many more.
• The School of Hospitality Management offers courses like the Certificate in Hospitality Operations, BHM, MHM, and Ph.D in various specializations such as food production operations, accommodation operations, and many more.
• The School of Media and Communication Design offers courses like BA, MA, and Ph.D in various specializations such as print media, radio, television, public relations, advertising, graphic design, animation design, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given procedure to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university to apply through online mode or can directly visit the university and buy the registration form directly from the registrar office.
• The candidates have to register themselves for the particular courses with the required personal details.
• The candidates have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1000 through the online mode of payment to complete the registration process.
• The candidates will receive a confirmation page of registration which is advised to be kept for the further process.
• The candidates have to print out the confirmation page and send the scanned copy with the required documents like marksheets and certificates of the previous academic records, along with other necessary documents to the university through email.
• The official email ID of the university is [email protected] and the subject line should be filled with the application number given on the confirmation page.
• The candidates have to appear in the entrance examinations required by the desired courses.
• The university will call students for counseling which will include personal interviews and document verification.
• The selected candidates have to pay an admission fee to confirm their seats at the university in the desired course.

Results and Cut off

The students are given admission to the university on the basis of their previous academic records and the marks scored in the qualifying examination for the courses. The university also prefers some national level entrance examinations like NET, JRF, CLAT, LSAT, and others.

The university has a special reservation of 40% for the students of Uttarakhand. The doctoral programs are given admission on the basis of the valid scorecards in the UGC NET entrance examinations. The students need to have a valid score card in either CLAT or LSAT for admission to the legal studies courses.

The eligibility criteria are different but necessary for the various courses offered at the university. The students need to pass the 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education with at least 45% marks to get admitted to an undergraduate course. The students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 50% marks to get admission to a master’s degree program and 45% marks in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Uttarakhand OBC. For the doctoral programs, students need to have a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.

Placement

The university has a training and placement cell that prepares students to face the interviews by providing them with personality development classes. The university offers campus placement drives for students in their final years of academic sessions. The university has more than 363 recruiters who visit the campus regularly for placement drives. 90 % of the students get placed in each academic session. The highest package received by any student was 16 lakhs per annum, and the average salary package at the university is 4.5 lakhs per annum. The major recruiters of the university are Kotak, BYJUs, LF Logistics, FedEx, Reliance, ExtraMarks, Naukri.com, Axis Bank, Etv, Audi, PayU, Toppscholars, Wipro Peripherals (WepSOL), and many more.
