Himalayan University

Overview

Established in the year 2013, Himalayan University is a non-profit university in Arunachal Pradesh. It was established by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh under section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956. The main aim to set up this institute was to enhance the strength of Indian Higher Education by providing quality and nurturing education in every major discipline. Besides, the university considers it a responsibility and is always making efforts to bring a bright future to all its students. 

Since it was established, the university has shown tremendous growth. Due to its unstoppable contribution to educational society, the university has received many awards. Some include the ‘Outstanding Contribution for Student’s Growth’ award to the University at Education Excellence Conclave held in 2021 and was ranked 1st among the Private Universities of Arunachal Pradesh by Dialogue India in 2017. Besides, the university is recognized by UGC, and DEB and is approved by BCI, PCI, and RCI. The university is also a proud member of AIU. 

The university has a separate faculty cell. It takes care to bring in the best faculty to the university. They help students to become perfect in their course and be efficient in handling the complexities of the corporate world by imparting them root education.  Apart from this, the university has tie-ups with many foreign universities. These help to give students exposure to foreign standards of education and open a doorway for their higher education. 

The university maintains very healthy collaborations with major corporate centers. To help enhance the training environment for the students, the university allows the corporates to introduce their course curriculum at the university. This not only helps the corporate interact with the students but also helps students to get exposure to the industrial world. And thus enhances the placement opportunities for the students.

Admission Process 

Students from around the world aspire to get admission to the various courses offered by the university. The university also provides admission to students belonging to a wide spectrum of educational backgrounds and helps them pursue their dreams. Hence, the university follows a very simple admission process. Most of the process is conducted online. 

Students need to visit the official website of the university, select their preferred course, and fill in the application form. Then, attach it with the required documents and mail it to the institute mail address. Then the student is approved for admission, following which the student needs to send the first installment of the course fees via demand draft along with 5 copies of passport-size photos. Upon completing these steps, the student gets admission to the desired course. 

Results and Cut off 

For admission under any course at Himalayan University, there are no such eligibility criteria now. The university conducts the admission process very smoothly and easily via some simple steps as mentioned above. The only prerequisite for admission at Himalayan University is the successful completion of higher secondary education. The institute of HSC should belong to a recognized board and the student must gain a decent percentage while passing. Upon fulfillment of these minute criteria, the student can easily fill up the application form and proceed with the admission process. 

Placement

The university has a special placement cell to take care of the training, placement, and internship opportunities for the students. The cell has tie-ups with excellent corporate centers belonging to a variety of sectors. This helps them to organize various events and sessions on industry-related topics throughout the year. Various experts and professionals are invited to the university to conduct the same. And this provides excellent exposure to the students to real-world problems and helps them think in a solution-oriented manner. 

Apart from these, the placement cell conducts various brainstorming and placement preparation-oriented events. Some of which include placement talks, mock interviews, and various competitions. This helps in preparing students for the campus placement drive and getting the best opportunity available to them. Campus Facilities 

The beautiful campus of the Himalayan University is spread over acres of land area in the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. Being located within the prime location of the city, the university provides its students with lots of facilities. The university infrastructure is all built on state-of-the-art patterns and hence provides all the required facilities to the students. The whole campus of the institute is Wi-Fi enabled and is positioned within the safe, secure, and serene environment of the city. 

The university within its campus possesses a vibrant sports complex. This allows the students to participate and play a variety of games and enhance their activity. But to enjoy all these the campus has a very well-maintained hostel infrastructure. It is equipped with all the required facilities and provides students the peace to grow healthily.
