The C.U. Shah University is a private state university that is situated in Surendranagar, Gujarat, and was established in 2013 by the Wardhman Bharti Trust and later recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers various diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in several specializations such as engineering, arts, commerce, pharmacy, nursing, management, education, science, computer science, and many more.

The students are given admission on the basis of their previous academic records and their performance in state and national level entrance examinations like GUJCET, GATE, CET, CMAT, and others.
The university offers admissions to engineering courses on the basis of GUJCET and GATE scores. The management courses are considered a valid scorecard in the CMAT entrance examination. The pharmacy courses are given admission on the basis of rank in the GPAT entrance examinations. Other traditional courses allow admissions on a merit basis.
The students need to pass the 10th examination from a recognized board of education to get admission into diploma courses. A 10+2 or an equivalent level of examination from a recognized board of education is mandatory for students wishing to get admission into an undergraduate course. For a master’s degree, students need to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university. The doctoral degrees are admitted through a national level entrance examination and the minimum eligibility is a postgraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university .

The campus of the university is located in Surendranagar, Gujarat and spread over an area of 60 acres that is filled with a lot of trees and greenery, which create an environment that is suitable to carry out the academic process.
