Overview

Bahra University is a state private university that is situated in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The university was established in 2011 and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university offers a lot of courses in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various specializations, such as engineering, management, commerce, law, hospitality, science, pharmaceuticals, arts, humanities, and many more.

The university offers admission to students from every corner of the world, which helps the university with sharing culture and knowledge to make the students live in a global environment. The university has different criteria for admitting students; either they take admission on the merit basis of their previous academic record or on the entrance test. The faculty members at the university are well experienced and have good knowledge of their subjects, which helps students perform well in their academics.

The university offers different courses under various schools in several specializations. Some of them are mentioned below.

• The School of Pharmacy offers courses like B.Pharma, B.Pharma LEET, M.Pharma, D.Pharma, and Ph.D in Pharmacy.
• The School of Management offers courses like B.Com, BBA, MBA, and Ph.D in various specializations such as Accounting and Finance, Economics, Banking and insurance,  Equity and commodity markets, marketing, information technology, office management, HR, IT, and many more.
• The School of Engineering and Technology offers courses like BCA, MCA, B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D in various specializations such as computer science, civil, electrical, mechanical, automobile, structural engineering, electronic communication engineering, and many more.

Admission Process

The candidates need to follow the given process to get admission to the university.

• The candidates need to visit the official website of the university to start the admission process.
• The candidates need to register themselves first by clicking on the admission open link.
• The registration form will require the mobile number and email ID, and the candidate needs to choose the desired course and subject.
• After registering, candidates need to fill in the application form with the required details and upload necessary documents like photographs and previous academic records.
• The application form will be considered as submitted only after the payment of the application fee.
• The students need to appear in the entrance exam if the course requires it.
• The university prepares a merit list of the  selected candidates and allots them the seats according to their merit.
• The selected candidates need to pay the admission fee to confirm their seats at the university.

Results and Cut off

The university offers  admission to students on the basis of their previous academic records and valid scorecards with cutoff marks in the government’s state and central level entrance exams. For an undergraduate course, students have to pass a 10+2 or equivalent level of exam from a recognized board of education in India with a minimum 45% score for pharmacy and engineering courses. A relaxation of 5% of marks is given to reserve category students. For a master’s, students need to have a graduation degree in similar specializations with at least 50% marks, and a relaxation of 5% marks is given to reserve category students. For doctoral courses, the students should have a master’s degree in a similar specialization with a 55% mark and should appear on the entrance test.

Placement

The university offers campus placement drivers for the final year students. The students have a golden opportunity to get placed during their academic session. The university organizes several live training programs and mock interviews to boost the confidence of students, which helps them perform well in the placement drives. The highest package received by any student in the current session was Rs 15 lakhs per annum. The major recruiters of the university are John Deere, Royal Enfield, ICICI bank, Cipla, HDFC bank, and many more.

• Aparshakti Khurana is currently working as a Bollywood actor and has previously worked as a radio jockey, comedian, singer, and television host.
• Amir Sahil is a professional athlete in kickboxing and won a silver medal in the World Kickboxing Championship.
• Madhavi is a PCS officer.
• Abhijit Kaplis is an IAS officer and has scored an All India Rank-15.

Campus Facilities

The campus of the university is located in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh and spread over an area of 25 acres. The university is located in a beautiful part of Himachal Pradesh and has a lot of greenery along with a number of trees, which offers an excellent environment for academic purposes.

The university offers hostel facilities for both boys and girls. A mess is attached to the hostel that provides better quality food to the students and staff. The university has playgrounds that offer several sports like cricket, football, basketball, snooker, billiards, and many more.

The library at the university has a lot of books, which include academic books, journals, magazines, research papers, and others. The digital section of the library offers various books in digital format. The university offers various labs like computer, electrical, civil, chemistry, physics, mechanical, and many more. The laboratories are equipped with all the modern instruments that are necessary for learning the practical aspects of the subjects. 

The university also offers cafeterias, gyms, and transportation facilities for the students that help them concentrate on the academic session along with fun activities. A medical facility is also available at the university. An ambulance is always ready for any emergency situation.
