Admission Process

Admission to all undergraduate programmes is based on performance in the APGSU Aptitude Test, which is offered in both online and offline formats. In a few courses, performance on the qualifying examination is the criterion for admission, however an Offline/Online application is required in most cases. Each candidate must fill out the Online Application Form found on their website. After completing the application form, applicants will get a system-generated receipt for the application filed and payment of application form expenses. Following the submission of an application, each candidate is assessed based on their performance on an entrance exam and/or a personal interview, as required by the programme. The application form and papers are cross-checked against the originals before admittance. After successfully completing the entrance procedure, the individual is offered confirmed provisional admission.

Result and Cut off

Students have to secure a suitable rank in the entrance test or any other national or state-level entrance exam for admission at Alakh Prakash Goyal (APG) Shimla University. However, For admissions at this university, applicants must have 10+2 or equivalent education from any recognized board in the country. Scores above 50% in higher secondary school can help secure acceptance into most of the Undergraduate courses offered by the institution. The atmosphere at APGSU is quite cosmopolitan, with students coming from all over the country and the world to get their education. The mixing of cultures and the exchange of ideas on the SU campus create a mini-world. The breadth and expanse of the space, while inspirational, are just tempting. The campus is well-designed, with lecture halls, tutorial rooms, drawing halls, labs, a computer centre, library, restaurant, dormitory, and sports complex. The environmentally friendly campus is artistically created in calm settings with lush green grass and landscaping to provide a learning environment.

Physical fitness and mental agility are highly valued at APGSU. Activities like sports and games are an important element of the curriculum. Yoga and meditation classes are available to promote overall wellness. While yoga maintains the body strong and active, meditation gives the mind the mental agility it needs to succeed in demanding professional courses. A Medical Inspection Room has been set up with a Doctor and a qualified Nurse available for medical help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
