Overview
Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) Tirupati, is a multi-super specialty hospital and institute. It has 940 beds for the patients and was founded in 1933 by TTD, which is presently known as State University by Govt of Andhra Pradesh. The motto of the institute is to proffer medical service, education in advanced medical sciences, practical training, and training. Today, the institute is standing like a pillar and is called the leading institute in academic research and health care services. The institute has spread over its building in an area of 107.04 acres.
The institute provides admission to medical aspirants in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral programs in different disciplines. The disciplines are- MBBS,MD, MS,DM,MCh, B.Sc,M.Sc, PG Diploma and Ph.D.
The institute has its eligibility criteria, on which it guarantees students’ admission. The aspirants have to qualify NEET-UG with merit marks for doing the MBBS course. For postgraduate programs, a NEET-PG score is mandatory. For doctoral programs NEET-SS is mandatory. The admission counseling offered by SVIMS is done via MCC, Dr. NTRUHS, and DGHS, Govt of India.
