The college was established in the year 1972 in Imphal. The institute works under the “North Eastern Regional Medical College Society”.  

The college provides medical education, with its bunch of medical courses, RIMS has set a bar for medical aspirants. The aspirants will get a chance to acquire education in the field of Dental, Nursing, Medical, Urology, etc. Apart from its UG and PG program, it offers Doctoral degree courses.

Admission Procedure

• The candidates seeking admission to RIMS MBBS, BDS, MS and MD programs, must appear for the NEET entrance examination. The candidate’s final selection is based on NEET scores.
• Admission to the B.Sc nursing program is granted on the basis of the 10+2 examination.
• The institute organizes a written examination for the aspirants, seeking admission in M.Ch. program. The candidates are selected on the basis of examination and their performance.
• For seeking admission in Ph.D., candidates have to get their name on the merit list.

Application process

• The candidates taking admission in RIMS courses, have to visit the RIMS, Imphal official website.
• Download the form, fill in the required details.
• The candidate needs to pay an amount of INR 2,000 via DD along with the application form, in the favour of RIMS, Imphal Director.
