Overview

The Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research was founded in 1983 at Loni Kalbhor in Pune. The MIT Art Design and Technology (MIT ADT University) is an autonomous private university and is a part of the MIT group of institutes in India. The MIT ADT University is a UGC recognised private university that offers educational facilities in multiple disciplines.

The MIT ADT has been one of the leading design schools in India since 2006. It was founded under the guidance of the MAEER’s group and has provided a world-class education to students for over a decade. The MIT ADT was brought to life under the skilful leadership of experienced design educators such as Prof. Kumar Vyas and Prof. Dhimant Panchal. With their strong leadership, the MIT ADT has developed a strong pedagogy of learning and exponential growth of design education in India.

The MIT ADT University is equipped with an excellent and experienced faculty at the top of their respective fields. The university houses 57 full-time and 51 visiting faculty members. Over the last decade, the faculty and students of MIT ADT have won national and international awards that have solidified the position of this institute as one of the top design universities in India. This includes two Red Dot awards won by the alumni members of the institute.

In 2017 MIT ADT was awarded the ‘Best Campus Award’ by ASSOCHAM. The institute is also closely associated with and is a member of WDO (World Design Organization). Admission Process

Admission applications for the institute can be accessed online from their official website. After the application form has been submitted, the applicant must clear three rounds of eligibility tests before admission to MIT ADT.

• The Design Aptitude Test is the first step of the admission process, which all UG and PG candidates need to qualify. The score of this test determines whether students can move on to the next round or not.
• The Design Studio Test is the second step of the admission process where applicants are required to complete practical assignments to pass on to the next step of admission.
• The Personal Interview is the third and final step of the admission process. After completing the personal interview round, the candidates selected get admission in their choice of UG or PG course at MIT ADT.

The Industry Relations Department at MIT ADT works tirelessly to arrange for campus interviews from national and international organisations for the students. The department also arranges for summer internships for students.

Result and Cut-off

For admission to UG courses, the applicants are required to have 10+2 equivalent educational qualifications in any stream from any recognised education board in India. For PG admissions, the applicant needs to have an undergraduate degree from any recognised university. The stream needs to be in accordance with the course they are applying for in post-graduate studies. These are the basic eligibility criteria that an applicant needs to fulfil for applying to MIT ADT.

Campus Facilities

The MIT ADT University is located in Pune, Maharashtra and houses a sizable campus with state of the art infrastructure to facilitate a great learning experience for the students. In terms of educational infrastructure, MIT ADT University has an extensive library that can hold up to 100 students at a time. The campus also hosts advanced computer labs, gyms, and indoor and outdoor recreational centres equipped with the latest technologies. The campus also provides hostel facilities for men and women under a twin sharing system.
