During the initial days of this law college, the Late. AG Ramachandra Rao, was the principal of this college. Over the years many scholars have taken this prestigious principal post at this college. BMS College of Law offers Legum Baccalaureus or Bachelor in Laws degree which is 5 years and 3 years full-time law course. The 3-year course is for those who are applying after graduation and the 5-year course is for those who want to pursue law after their 12th grade. This degree course allows the students to practice law. As of now the opportunities for a law student are diversified in many fields. The old-school jobs in the judicial system and legislative-executive fields are not mandatory now. Course Highlights

The courses offered by BMS College of Law are duly authorized by Bar Council of India which is the main regulatory body of India for all Legal Education Matters. The students who will successfully pass the 5 years or 3 years UG programs can apply for enrollment with BCI if they are eligible. 
All the courses, syllabus, etc. are duly mentioned in the official prospectus and every year the updated version of it is published on the official website for the students for a clear understanding.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

For 5 years BA, LLB and B.com LLB Program

For students must have a minimum of 45% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination in order to become eligible for this course. Along with that, they must qualify for the BMSCLAT exam. The minimum age for this course is 18 years and the maximum allowed age for an applicant is 20 years. 

For 3 years LLB Programs

Applicants must have obtained at least 45% marks in total in their graduation.


Admission Procedure

Admission procedures for 5 years BA, LLB and B.com LLB Program are the followings - 

Visit the Official Website or College 
Go to the below-mentioned official website of BMS College of Law and look for the official announcement regarding the application opening dates. If the application link is active, click on that and perform the online steps correctly to complete and submit the application form. 
Candidates can also physically visit the college for admission information and collect the application form there. Now after duly filling up the application form, they need to submit the application to the college authority.
Students must provide all the related documents properly both for online and offline processes and the application must be submitted within the mentioned time frame.
Shortlisting of Candidates 
Once the application process is over, all the applications will go for the shortlisting process. The students will be further shortlisted on the basis of their merits. 
Entrance Examination 
Shortlisted students will then be called for the BMS college of law entrance examination, which is called BMSCLAT. Students who will qualify for this exam will go for the final round of interviews.
Interview Process
The last step for the selection of students is the personal interview round where students will be picked based on their interview session with the faculty. 
Selection
The selected candidates will then be sent an offer letter for admission. The rest of the admission process will be mentioned in the offer letter which selected candidates must comply with to complete the admission process.

As far as the admission process For 3 years LLB Program is concerned, students don't need to go through any admission test or personal interview. They can simply apply for the course online or offline. They will be chosen based on their merits and selected candidates will be sent offer letters for admission. The rest of the admission formalities will be mentioned in the offer letter.

Placement

If you are concerned about BMS college of law placements, you must know that the college has a separate Placement Committee that closely interacts with government bodies, law firms, and corporate organizations to provide better placements to the students.
