Overview
The history of the Medical Institute dates back to the year when only 14 students were there in 1871, its official first batch. In 1879, Sir Byramjee Jeejeebhoy did a great job, by donating an amount of INR 20,000, that was enough during that time and the college was named after his name. The medical school is affiliated with the Ahmedabad Civil hospital and Gujarat University. Apart, greatest from offering an MBBS degree, the college is proudly giving Education to postgraduates. Several institutes are affiliated with the B.J Medical college. It has almost 26 departments across three different fields, including Clinical, Pre-clinical, and Paraclinical. The per-annum fee is INR 25,000.

Admission Process
The institute is the home to various courses, it proffers MBBS at ug, MS/MD/PG Diploma, and MCh/DM at the super-specialty level. Almost 7 institutes are affiliated with BJ Medical college that coordinates with the college and attends a meet on Research in Spine, TB, and Kidney.

The college has limited seats, i.e 250 seat intake per year. As per the IIRF investigation, The highest salary package of BJ Medical college students is 10 L.P.A and Lowest is 5 L.P.A.
