Woxsen University is one of the first private universities in the young state of Telangana. Located in Hyderabad, the university was established in 2014 and soon became the flag-bearer of one of the first private universities in Telangana. From the time of its inception, it is known as one of the top universities in Hyderabad and consists of four constituent schools. 

The four constituent schools of Woxsen University are the Woxsen School of Architecture & Planning, Woxsen School of Arts & Design, Woxsen School of Business and Woxsen School of Technology. The Woxsen School of Arts & Design is one of the first of its kind in Hyderabad and has gained immense popularity over the years. It was awarded the Best Design School in 2019-2020 by APET in 2020.

Admission Process

The admission process of the Woxsen School of Art & Design begins with filling up an online application form on the official website. The candidates applying for the UG courses need to have a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 10+2 from a recognised board in any discipline. After filling up the online application form, the candidates will be required to take an entrance test called the Woxsen Design Test (WDT). 

Based on their score on WDT, candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for a psychometric and personal interview round. Based on the psychometric and the personal interview round, shortlisted candidates will be analysed and selected. The selected candidates will be given out offer letters to join the program.

Result and Cut-off

To get admission in the UG courses of Bachelor of Design (Hons.), the candidates must have completed 10+2 or 12th grade in any discipline from a recognized board. The minimum aggregate a student needs to get admission into Woxsen School of Art & Design is 50%. Apart from having the minimum aggregate of 50%, candidates also need to appear for the Woxsen Design Test (WDT). 

The WDT is followed by a personal interview round. Those candidates who have the minimum aggregate and will qualify in the WDT and personal interview will finally get admission into the Woxsen School of Art & Design.

Campus Facilities

The Woxsen School of Arts & Design hosts a beautiful and humongous 200-acre eco-friendly campus at Sadashivpet. The campus is 60km away from the chief city of Hyderabad. The university features a shuttle service for the commute of students to and from Hyderabad. The campus also has an on-site ambulance for any cases of emergency.

The central library of their campus is a gigantic 70,000sqft building that is currently one of the largest libraries in the country. The library provides students with extensive resources, including over 10,000 volumes and periodicals and over 33,000 online resources. The library has resources for different subjects such as design, architecture, management, and technology.

In terms of fooding, the campus offers three different eateries, all with varying food choices and their own distinctive ambience. Other than that, the campus also has a health club with a fully stocked gymnasium with advanced machinery. It also features aerobic and yoga classes that are subject to batch sizes.

The campus also hosts an extensive recreation hub called ‘The League’. It features playing grounds for many different sports including, cricket, football, basketball, tennis, and many more. The campus also features a tuck shop called ‘Ink & Water’ that is an all in one stop for all the needs of the students. With a 200 acre campus that is complete with all types of features and amenities that help students make the most out of their college life.
