The GSEB reported that a record-breaking number of students—nearly 5.91 lakh—had registered for the Class 12 exams. 3,35,145 pupils applied for the GSEB 12th Commerce and Arts exam last year, of which 2,91,287 were declared pass candidates. The overall pass rate for Gujarat Board's Class 12 Science stream dramatically dropped from 71.9% in 2019 to 65.58% this year. With a passing rate of 67.18 per cent, English-medium students have outperformed Gujarati-medium students in academic performance. Passing rates for the HSC Science stream were 65.32 per cent among Gujarati-medium students.
