The campus of UCLA is situated in Los Angeles, United States, and is spread over an area of 419 acres. The campus offers facilities like housing, dining, clubs and organizations, sports and recreation, health and wellness, arts and performance, sustainability, and many more.
Living on the Hill means students are close to classes and everything else that campus has to offer, so it's understandable that more than 98 percent of first-year undergrads opt to live in residence halls. It won't take students long to find their own happy places, whether it's among the more than 5,000 annual events, serene sunset vistas, cutting-edge study spaces, or palm tree-lined terraces.
You're sure to meet new people, get inspired, and maybe even change the world because students come from all over the world and from different walks of life. There are many clubs and organizations on campus that encourage students to pursue their passions for different activities that can change their lives.
The university offers scholarship schemes for the students on the basis of their merit and also need based scholarships. Some of the scholarship schemes are UCLA Regents Scholarships, UCLA Alumni Scholarships, and University Student Aid Program Funds. Students can apply for all these schemes through the university.
The university offers three other forms of financial aid, such as grants, education loans, and part-time work permissions, for the students to fund their education at the institute. The cost of textbooks and daily living expenses can be lowered with a part-time job. Over 9,500 UCLA undergrads had part-time jobs on campus in the previous academic year. A job can be found more easily on or off campus for those who received work-study awards.
