Student admission to the university is determined by their overall academic record and performance in three key areas: grades, English language proficiency, and successful completion of prerequisite courses. The university requires students to fulfill English language requirements by appearing for an English proficiency test at the university or from other recognized organizations. The applicants also have to appear in the college board entrance examination like the SAT or ACT, or any other according to their desired course.
Depending on the Faculty and degree, a certain minimum entrance average is required to get admitted to the University of Alberta. Every year, the averages shift.
