Undergraduate international applicants with exceptional performance in the entrance examination are offered a direct 10% to 15% reduction in tuition fees by the University.

International applicants to postgraduate courses at SibFU can also apply to external scholarships. For example, Open Doors is a scholarship program awarded by the Global Universities Association. It allows exceptional students with an undergraduate degree to apply to the top Russian universities for Master's degrees and win a full scholarship, covering both tuition and living costs.

Students from erstwhile Soviet states can apply for special scholarships where they pay the lower fees that domestic students pay, rather than full international tuition fees.
