Eligibility Criteria

The university offers admissions to the students on the basis of their previous academic records as well as the performances in the entrance examination like SAT and ACT, as well as the English language proficiency tests like TOEFL and others for the students whose native language is not English.

Applications for undergraduate admission to the School of Arts and Sciences and/or the School of Engineering are accepted by the university from August through January (through March for transfer applicants). The students are required to complete their 10+2 education from a recognized board of education with good academic records to get admission to an undergraduate program.

More than 180 programs, many of which are consistently ranked as among the best in the country, are studied, taught, and learned in and across by faculty and students. Graduate degree programs are offered full-time by all nine of the academic divisions. The students are required to have an undergraduate degree in a similar specialization from a recognized university to be eligible for admission to the postgraduate courses.

Admission

The applicants need to follow the given procedures to get admission to the university in their desired courses.

  • The candidates can apply for the admission to the university through Common Application or Coalition on Scoir.

The tuition fee for undergraduate courses ranges from $59128 to $60480 at different schools like the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Engineering, and the Peabody Institute. The tuition fee for the graduate courses ranges from $40320 to $76200 at the School of Advanced International Studies, School of Arts and Sciences, Carey Business School, School of Education, School of Engineering, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, Peabody Institute, and School of Public Health.

For the doctoral courses the tuition fee ranges from $41320 to $66950 depending upon the specializations and the schools.

Campus facilities

The main campus of the university is in Baltimore, United States, and spreads over an area of 140 acres. The campus offers all the facilities you need, like housing, dining, athletics, museums, restaurants, concert venues, coffee houses, and one-of-kind shops, art and culture, health and wellness, and many more.

24 varsity teams represent Johns Hopkins, 22 of which participate in NCAA Division III competition. Division I competition is held for the other two sports, men's and women's lacrosse. The Centennial Conference includes seventeen sports programs.

Hopkins can satiate students' desire for culture, whether they enjoy making their friends laugh, making art, singing, dancing, acting, or playing an instrument in an ensemble. Hopkins can also satisfy your desire to be amused and educated by the talents of your fellow students.

Six days a week, the campus's Student Health and Wellness Center is open to help students with their health-related issues. Primary care is provided by licensed medical professionals, who also offer immunizations, travel advice, routine gynecologic care, and treatment for injuries and illnesses.

Hopkins' undergraduate admissions procedure is need-blind, which means that applicants' financial situation is not taken into account when deciding whether to admit them. Instead, they are given loan-free financial aid packages that fully satisfy their demonstrated financial need.
