JEE Main 2024 Session 2: Clarifications on Marking Scheme for MCQs:

The marking scheme for the Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the JEE follows a structured approach to ensure fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process. Here’s an overview:

(i) Correct Answer: Candidates will be awarded four marks for selecting the correct answer or the most appropriate option.

(ii) Incorrect Answer: Any incorrect option marked will result in a penalty of minus one mark (-1), discouraging guessing and emphasizing precision in responses.

(iii) Unanswered/Marked for Review: Unanswered questions or those marked for review will be given no marks (0), prompting candidates to make informed choices rather than leaving questions blank.

(iv) Multiple Correct Options: If more than one option is correct, candidates who have marked any of the correct options will receive four marks (+4), rewarding partial knowledge and eliminating guesswork.

(v) All Correct Options: In the scenario where all options provided are correct, all candidates who attempted the question will be awarded full marks (+4), regardless of the combination of options chosen.

(vi) Incorrect Question or Dropped Question: If a question is found to be incorrect, or if it is dropped from the examination, full marks will be awarded to all candidates who appeared for the exam, irrespective of whether they attempted the question.

This comprehensive marking scheme aims to maintain fairness and accuracy in the evaluation process of the JEE examination, encouraging candidates to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge effectively while minimizing the impact of errors or uncertainties.

While the city intimation slip is soon to be released, JEE Main admit card will be issued three days before the start of exams. This timeline allows candidates to plan their journey to the exam city center, with details of the exam center city and date provided on the city slip.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2: Initiatives by States to Support JEE Aspirants:

Several states are offering free coaching programs to support JEE aspirants, with initiatives targeting students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. These efforts aim to enhance accessibility to quality education and level the playing field for all aspirants.

JEE Main 2024 Session 2: Stringent Security Measures Implemented:

To uphold the integrity of the examination process, NTA has implemented stringent security measures, including frisking and biometric attendance, for all stakeholders. This comprehensive approach aims to prevent instances of malpractice and ensure a fair and transparent examination environment.
With the release of city intimation slip and adherence to strict guidelines, NTA is committed to facilitating smooth and transparent conduct of the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 exams. Candidates are advised to stay vigilant and comply with all instructions to ensure a successful examination experience.
