CUET UG Application Form Release Delayed to February 28: As anticipation builds among aspiring undergraduates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2024) application form will be available starting February 28. Eligible students eager to secure admission to undergraduate courses at Central and other participating universities can mark their calendars for the application window, which is set to open in the coming days.
Scheduled to take place between May 15 and May 31, the CUET UG 2024 aims to be a pivotal moment for nearly 250 colleges that will admit students to various first-year degree programs based on their CUET scores. The registration procedure, expected to commence in 10 to 11 days, will see candidates navigating through the application process to secure a spot in their desired institution.
The CUET UG 2024 will be administered in a hybrid format to boost participation, especially from rural students. This hybrid approach combines the traditional OMR-based exam with a computer-based test (CBT) for topics with the highest registrations. The move reflects a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in the testing process.
While a strong performance in the CUET exam is crucial, prospective students should know that it does not guarantee admission to their chosen institution. Each college and university has its own selection standards; candidates must meet these criteria to secure access.
The NTA has laid out stringent CUET UG 2024 application process guidelines. Candidates must provide detailed educational background information, marks statements, and qualification certificates and upload scanned images of their photographs, signatures, and other necessary documents. The application process emphasizes accuracy, as errors could lead to the cancellation of applications.
When the registration period opens, candidates are advised to prepare scanned copies of their photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), and PwBD certificate in advance. The form must be completed precisely, as specific fields may only be corrected during a specified “form correction” period after the application deadline.
The NTA has issued specific instructions regarding the uploading of photographs and signatures. Applicants must ensure that their recent photo displays 80% of the face without a mask against a white background. The scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format, clearly legible, and within specified size limits.
The NTA has emphasized the consequences of using or uploading another person’s photograph, signature, or certificate during application. Any such actions will be considered Unfair Means Practices (UFM), and appropriate measures will be taken according to the provisions outlined in the Information Bulletin on Unfair Means Practices.
