Sri Jagadguru Chandrashekaranatha Swamiji Institute of Technology (SJCIT) is a premier institute imparting technical education since 1986. The college is situated on Bangalore – Hyderabad National Highway-NH7, 45 kms from Bangalore city about, 20 kms from Kempe Gowda International Airport (Bangalore International Airport) and about 5 kms from Muddenahalli, the birth place of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The famous hill resort Nandi hill is about 15 kms from the college.

The Institute is managed by Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust(R.) with the divine blessings of Byravaikya Jagadguru Padmabhushan Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji’s and spiritual guidance of Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji. The Trust runs more than 485 Institutions all over the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu & Delhi.

Aeronautical Engineering is one of the fascinating areas in Engineering across the globe. The Aerospace & Defense technology enhances the nation’s technology target and achieves global recognition. The Department of Aeronautical Engineering was established in the Year 2014 with an intake of 60 students for undergraduate program. The program is designed for deep demonstration of knowledge that leads to superior impending and progression, enabling our students to get better opportunities in India and abroad through industry-based project experience and various interfacing abilities.

Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 1986 with an intake of 60 students and increased to 120 students again increased to 180 students. Since then, the department has held a position of pride in SJCIT. The department is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and approved by AICTE. The department is committed to continuously improve the quality of education by enhancing the knowledge of student and staff members.

Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML)

Artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine learning (ML) are the correlated trending technologies of computer science used for creating efficient devices. AI is a technology that allows a system to imitate human behaviour which is concerned with creating intelligent machines that can accomplish activities that would normally need human intelligence. ML is a subset of AI that allows a machine to learn from prior data without having to programme it explicitly.

Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI&DS)

The department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) is established during the academic year 2022-23 with an intake of 60. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a new branch of study that deals with scientific methodologies, processes, and techniques drawn from different domains like statistics, cognitive science, and computing and information science to extract knowledge from structured data and unstructured data. This knowledge is applied in making various intelligent decisions in business applications. AI&DS focuses on collecting, categorizing, strategizing, analyzing and interpreting data. It is a specialized branch that deals with the development of data-driven solutions, data visualization tools and techniques to analyse big data. It also incorporates the concepts of machine learning and deep learning model building for solving various computational and real-world problems.

The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering established with B.E & M. Tech courses, Research & Development Centre, Centre of Excellence in Image Processing & VLSI. The faculty and students are regularly trained in latest technological developments and believe in practical teaching methodology. The department has well equipped state of art infrastructure required for Research & Development in the field of advanced engineering. Admission Process

Engineering

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA B.E. Pass in 10+2 Or Equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics with not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the Languages (40% in case of SC / ST / Other backward classes specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation only for Karnataka students) for admission to Engineering & Technology courses or Diploma holders who have secured 45% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering in final year Diploma. Foreign students are also admitted to B.E. Courses.

M.TECH

Structural Engineering: Pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.E. (CIVIL) Or Equivalent Degree Infrastructure Engineering and Management: Pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.E. (CIVIL) Or Equivalent Degree Machine Design: Pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.E. (Mechanical Engineering / Industrial & Production Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Tool Engineering) Or Equivalent Degree Or AMIE in the appropriate branch. GATE: ME. Digital Communication & Networking: Pass with 50% aggregate marks in B.E.
