KIET Deemed-to-be University (formerly KIET Group of Institutions) stands as one of the leading private universities in Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad with over 27 years of excellence in academic arena. Accredited with NAAC A+ and NBA for all eligible programs, the University is committed to delivering global-quality, outcome-based education.

Established in 1998 with an initial intake of 180 students in B.Tech., KIET has today evolved into a multidisciplinary University with more than 10,000 students enrolled across diverse disciplines such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, and Computer Applications. As a University, KIET is now positioned to offer expanded academic pathways, world-class research opportunities, and globally benchmarked learning ecosystems.

IV. Global Outlook & International Relations

The Department of International Relations at KIET is driving its internationalization strategy by:

  • Collaborating with global universities [MoU with INTI International University, Malaysia and Letter of Intent with Builders École d’ingénieurs, France, as of November 2025]
    • Attracting international students through the Study in India (SII) portal
    • Providing international internships and cultural exchange programs
    • Hosting international seminars, conferences, and workshops
    • Organizing the annual flagship event, International Education Awareness Week that brings global University representatives to campus.

Key milestones include:

  • Sending 14+ students to five countries for global exposure
  • Supporting numerous students for study abroad programs
  • Hosting international interns from Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, and Russia in Automotive Mechatronics and AI/ML projects
  • Offering foreign language certification programs (as per CEFR & JLPT levels) through the Centre for Global Linguistics (Japanese, German, French, Spanish)

KIET students are gaining recognition on international platforms as well. A notable achievement was their performance of a drama on the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda during “Kwibuka 31” at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in the presence of H.E. Shombi Sharp, UN Resident Coordinator in India, H.E. Mrs. Jacqueline Mukangira, High Commissioner of Rwanda to India, and Shri Dammu Ravi, Secretary (ER), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

V. Entrepreneurship & Start-ups

The University fosters innovation and entrepreneurship through its Technology Business Incubator (TBI-KIET), which has been honoured with the National Award for Technology Business Incubator by NSTEDB, DST, Government of India.

So far, 170+ start-ups have been incubated at KIET, providing a strong platform for students to transform ideas into successful ventures and enhance employability.
