The Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) is committed to promoting inclusive, equitable, and accessible higher education for all eligible students. As part of its commitment to social inclusion, the University provides educational support and applicable fee concessions to students belonging to Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Dependent (DP) categories, subject to the prevailing Government of India rules and University regulations.
Eligible PwD students are provided appropriate support and concessions in accordance with applicable statutory provisions, ensuring that financial constraints do not become a barrier to pursuing higher education. The University also facilitates a supportive academic environment by promoting accessibility, equal opportunities, and necessary assistance for students with disabilities.
Students belonging to the DP category are also provided applicable educational benefits and fee concessions as per the prescribed norms. Such measures are intended to recognize their circumstances and enable them to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and other academic programmes at CUAP.
Through these initiatives, CUAP aims to ensure that students from these categories have equitable access to quality education and academic opportunities. The Anti-Ragging Committee shall function in accordance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009 and subsequent amendments. It shall ensure strict compliance of anti-ragging measures, create awareness among students, monitor preventive mechanisms, and look into complaints related to ragging, recommending appropriate action as per norms.
The Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) has established the SC/ST/OBC Cell to ensure the effective implementation of the constitutional provisions, Government of India policies, and University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines relating to the welfare and empowerment of students and employees belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC).
