Samarakoon  SJMNG, Ph.D is a Senior Lecturer Grade I at Department of Economics and Statistics, Faculty of Social Sciences & Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. She is Ph.D in Economics from Kiev Institute of National Economy (renamed as “Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University”), Kiev, Ukraine 1988- 1991.
