Like all of the other national law institutions, RMLNLU also works as a pace-setter and a testing ground for bold experiments in legal education. After the establishment of the first national law school in Bangalore in 1987, the need for professional education in the legal field was generated. As a result, the Bar Council of India made professional education a statutory responsibility under the Advocates Act. Overall, the institution worked for a better education for the students of law with its excellent infrastructure and other resources. The university holds numerous publications by the students and faculty members.
The recruitment process of the university is handled by the internship and placement committee. The students of the university intern with various law firms, PPOs, NGOs, government organizations, corporate houses, PSUs, and under reputed judges and advocates. Some of the recruiters are Alliance law group, Khaitan and Co., Ashok Mehta and Associates, Eastern Book Publications Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Pepsi Co. India Holdings Pvt.
